Your post is very thought provoking, excellent work. Your testing as it relates to motivation reveals that your students are extrinsically motivated, which makes sense. Nursing students (and nurse educators) look toward grades or successful completion of a lab skill to demonstrate competence. Do you think that as students progress through the program they will become more intrinsically motivated?
